Painted en plein air in my garden one hot beautifully sunlit day.. I loved the shadow patterns cast by the bright sunlight and worked quickly to capture them. This was also a great way to imbue the piece with fresh energy while still ensuring careful, almost abstract, economical application of each brushstroke!.. The acid free paper was primed with a lovely reddish brown shellac that complements the greenish hues laid on top beautifully, the hues vibrating against each other wherever the primed paper peeks through.. :)
All my Oil on Paper works have a set price 20% below my normal rates.
