In creating this piece, I just let my mind wander freely,.. and the final reflected just that, a dreamer, a traveller in mind, through the pages of books and news stories, one's imagination and experience of life through stories can wander far afield through a rich landscape,.. This narrative piece was created in stages.The silver metal leaf was only laid after inking in the drawing with a dip pen (which I love for creating sensitive dimensional lines). This was then sealed well with a permanent UV-Resistant Acrylic coating for added UV protection for the ink and to keep the silver from tarnishing in the future. The oil paint was then painted alla prima, being careful to not cover up the raw quality of the inked lines as much as possible for a fresh expressive look. Once dry, a final coat of UV Varnish was given for extra protection..

This piece has been undeniably authenticated with my thumbprint in oil and signed / dated on the back with waterproof, archival pigment black ink.
