A gestural study from one of my figure drawing practice sessions.. In this piece I tried to focus on creating narrative with a good composition. With a wealth of information to work from, it was more a matter of distilling and choosing what to include or omit in creating a strong composition. As you can see the lower half fades away leaving quite a lot of space at the bottom of the composition. This space leads the eye gradually into the piece, suggesting depth and a foreground. The background arch was manufactured and creates even more interest and narrative while leading the eye once again towards the focus of the piece.

Protected with Acid Free and Archival Fixative & mounted on archival Japanese rice paper (with long aging Artist's Adhesive) to reinforce papers strength.

Packaged for the best protection in acid-free tissue paper, bubble wrapped etc. and rolled in a tube to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
