Among the zillions of practice gestures I do, it's lovely when I do create a gesture that I feel has enough esthetic presence as a stand alone piece while being unblemished by any other overlapping gestures that ruins an otherwise lovely piece.
I make it a point not to waste any thoughts creating 'artpieces' during these practice sessions though, promptly screwing up my filled up sheets of drawings, dumping them into the trash, before filling another sheet with even more quick gestures.
I have always loved these types of drawings though, framed and displayed. They require a certain amount of skill to create so quickly well and have an energetic, spontaneous, creative and classic vibe that longer poses can lack.
Thanks for the visit! :)
