Hiya folks, I like to take the opportunity to play around with ideas to spice up my drawing practice sessions at times, which is how this piece transpired, a fun take on the ever popularly spouted advice of imagining ones audience naked when one is overcome with a fear of public speaking.
Hope you've all been having a great week so far!
Ta for now.. :)
Hiya! So if ya haven't seen my latest fb or insta posts you may not have spied my latest conceptual drawing yet.
Drawn with contouring colour pencil crosshatching and charcoal pencil on dark suede coloured paper, this piece is also accented with silver and gold metal leaf!
Check out how this piece was created on my blog post
'Binary Movement' Charcoal and Colour Pencil Drawing WIP'
See ya! Thanks for the visit!.. :)
Hiya, this shy gal was part t of my drawing practice yesterday (in 2D). I loved the shy, awkward pose of this model and tried to convay this in this minimal gestural piece..
Hiya guys! After my unavoidable hiatus with rather infrequent drawing practice sessions, I've been taking the opportunity to get back into my daily drawing habit, trying to regain fluidy and skills I feel had gone rather rusty after last year.
Still working on it but meanwhile here is one of my latest figural drawings!
(p.s. Included in Artfinder's 'Best of February' Collection!!)
Guess What! Artfinder is currently having a FREE SHIPPING promo this weekend, so if you're thinking of adding this or any artpiece to your collection, now's the time!!
Thanks for dropping by! :)
I have this lovely archival tan paper I've been itching to use and thought a 'trois crayons' (technique using three colours - sanguine, white and black) would look gorgeous on it...
The shadow patterns on the model were intricately interesting and I loved that she also had a tattoo on the side of her rib cage that spelt out Honour, Strength and Loyalty..
So I decided to develop this piece further, getting textural effects on the paper and adding the vibrant ultramarine blue and black ink in the background. I really like the aged look of the paper now and the overall effect by adding the colour and background makes for a much more interesting composition.
Thanks for dropping by!.. :)
Hi guys, here a few new charcoals that I've posted recently in my Artfinder store!.. I've recently started to mount all my available newsprint drawings on archival Japanese Rice Paper!.. This not only strengthens the integrity of the paper which is quite thin, but also I think helps improve the longevity of the paper!
Thanks for dropping by! :)
