The shadow patterns on the model were intricately interesting and I loved that she also had a tattoo on the side of her rib cage that spelt out Honour, Strength and Loyalty..

So I decided to develop this piece further, getting textural effects on the paper and adding the vibrant ultramarine blue and black ink in the background. I really like the aged look of the paper now and the overall effect by adding the colour and background makes for a much more interesting composition. Thanks for dropping by!.. :)
Hi guys, here a few new charcoals that I've posted recently in my Artfinder store!.. I've recently started to mount all my available newsprint drawings on archival Japanese Rice Paper!.. This not only strengthens the integrity of the paper which is quite thin, but also I think helps improve the longevity of the paper! Thanks for dropping by! :)
I've been testing out different colour palettes for my figurative work lately 'Twilight' being the latest. I quite like the prussian blue based hues in this one, especially how well it plays off the complementary raw umber in the background. Check out the WIP for this piece at: Testing DIY Silverleaf Sealant, Size & Colour Palettes.
