Gustav Klimt has always been an inspiration with his mixture of realism, abstraction and symbolism, and is certainly one of my most favourite artists . Thus when I was conceiving an image that would best convey the concept I had in mind, I felt his well know ‘Death and Life’  painting was a perfect base , as any omissions (such as Death) or changes would be instantly recognized and enrich the concept of the piece.
