Hi guys!.. There's just an amazing energy that comes through a quick gestural artwork, and in this piece that was painted alla prima, I tried to keep in mind the concepts of creating a good gesture drawing.. feeling the gesture, the weight and volume of the models pose in ones bones, as one lays down each stroke.

Painted with a very limited grisaille palette of just Flake White Hue / Titanium White, Burnt Umber, Burnt Sienna and Cad Orange ( I didn't have orange so I mixed Cad Red With Cad Yellow), I started off on a gray acrylic toned ground (made with a mix of White, Ivory Black and Burnt Umber).

For the first time however, I can offer more insight than ever in to the creation of a piece with this my first ever proper full length Youtube Video!..

Took a bit for me ol' noggin to wrap it's head around all the completely new technical concepts involved to film and edit it ( I haven't even scratched the surface) , however I hope you will enjoy this first attempt!
