Hiya guys!.. I'd say this one is one of my favs of the 1st weeks challenge that I did.. Using hog bristle brushes, rather than the synthetics used for the others, every brushstroke was deeply pronounced and I tried to take advantage of this by ensuring every stoke would speak to the underlying forms and be texturally appealing with sure gesture. The bleaching white light of the ref image, flattened the models face somewhat. Thus the challenge was to portray this washed out lighting while still bringing dimensionality to the portrait..
